Some highlights:
- This website launched in early May 2011.
- Teaching a one week intensive course on environmental ethics at the University of the Aegean, Lesvos, Greece, 30 May - 3 June.
- Appointed to the Advisory Board of the Web of Life Foundation (WOLFoundation), which runs an annual essay competition for "fresh ideas, freshly presented, on any subject related to environmental issues." For details, click HERE
- Interdisciplinary reading group at Essex University working through my book Toward a Transpersonal Ecology: Developing New Foundations for Environmentalism (SUNY Press, 1995; Green Books UK, 1995) over twelve sessions from March - June. Gave a talk on my previous and current work to this group on 20 June at the conclusion of their sessions on the book.
- Talk and workshop on "The Value of Nature and the Nature of Value," Wilderness Festival, Cornbury Park, Oxfordshire, 12-14 August.
- Publication of my paper "Foundations of a General Ethics: Selves, Sentient Beings, and Other Responsively Cohesive Structures," in Anthony O'Hear, ed., Philosophy and the Environment, Royal Institute of Philosophy Supplement: 69 (Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, 2011), pp. 47-66.
